Charles H. Bennett is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern quantum information theory. He discovered the concept of quantum cryptography and laid the foundation for the theory of quantum teleportation. An avid thinker, Bennett also deeply reflects on the role of science and scientists in making the world a better place. The Chey Institute invited him on July 28, 2023, to speak about the pressing challenges associated with mis- and disinformation, and how science and technology can help combat malicious information. Accompanying him on stage were Kim Jungsang (Professor, Duke University) and Kim Jaewan (Professor, KIAS), who shared their perspectives on how quantum technology can help achieve more secure and reliable information exchange.
