To better understand the predicament the U.S. was facing with multi-front wars and conflicts, the Chey Institute invited leading national security experts from the U.S. on November 13, 2023. The presenters–Rexon Ryu (Former Chief of Staff to Secretary of Defense), Daniel Russel (Former Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs), Susan Thornton (Former Acting Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs), Joseph Yun (Former Special Presidential Envoy for Compact Negotiations), and Scott Snyder (Senior Fellow, Council on Foreign Relations)–presented and discussed U.S. foreign policies in Ukraine, the Middle East, Taiwan, and North Korea.
