Under the overarching theme of "Harmony of Civilizations and Shared Prosperity," the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies and Peking University jointly host the Beijing Forum to explore the universal values and potential challenges of Asian civilizations. The forum aims to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation through meaningful academic exchange.

Since its inception in 2004, the Beijing Forum has grown into one of Asia's leading international academic conferences, held annually every November with the participation of over 500 world-renowned scholars. The forum covers a wide range of topics including international relations, politics, socio-culture, humanities, and the environment.

The Chey Institute for Advanced Studies, together with Peking University, will host the 23rd Beijing Forum for three days, from November 6 to 8, 2026, under the theme "The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All—Technoscientific Change and Civilizational Diversity." At a time when global technological transformation is accelerating with unprecedented breadth and depth, reshaping economies, social governance, and the ways knowledge and values are shared, Beijing Forum 2026 offers a platform to explore how technology can serve as a bridge rather than a barrier between civilizations, fostering dialogue, mutual learning, and common prosperity in a more inclusive, equal, and sustainable future.
