On December 15-16, 2008, the 4th Southeast Asian Cultural Values Forum was held under the overarching theme of "Angkor, a Symbol of Cultural Heritage in Southeast Asia." Keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Teruo Jinnai, UNESCO Representative in Cambodia, and H.E. Him Chaem, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, gave his opening speech. This year's forum held a special meaning in that it specifically focused on the important role of Angkor and its meaning in the aspects of cultural prestige in the Southeast Asian region.
